Sr. Environmental Engineer - Pharmaceutical
Manufacturer

REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate should have:
1. At least a bachelor's degree in Science, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
2. Minimum of three (3) years of environmental compliance experience, preferably in the
Pharmaceutical industry, but any Manufacturing industry is acceptable.

3. CHMM (Certified Hazardous Material Manager) or CEM (Certified Environmental Manager)

Location: Long Island, New York

THE FUNCTIONS OF THIS CRITICAL POSITION ARE:
Provide compliance with environmental regulatory requirements. Extensive recordkeeping, inspections, training, multi-media sampling, policy and program development, auditing and report preparation. Manage environmental compliance with governing regulations in the areas of wastewater discharge, air emissions, waste management and hazardous materials management. Create compliance-related Environmental Health and Safety Policies; administer and provide training on associated Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs. Manage the facility's environmental monitoring program; coordinate with internal departments, outside consultants and contract laboratories; interpret and communicate results to regulatory agencies. Coordinate and manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste transport, destruction and reporting. Develop and implement USDOT Hazardous Materials safety program, including required training. Develop and maintain an electronic and paper file
system for EHS-related records. Conduct routine inspections as required by EPA,
NYSDEC and local governing regulations.
